| HISTORY
The Gavemer Foundation Limited was incorporated in 1970. Its chairman, Garry Richardson formed the Foundation to actively benefit humanity by making funds and assistance available to individuals and organisations who were contributing to evolutionary social change and deepening and extending educational, scientific, artistic, philosophical and religious activities.
We have supported many projects including: bio-dynamic agriculture, care and education of handicapped children and adults, conservation, consumer education, Steiner and human-centred education and schools, international understanding, medical and psychological research, music therapy, performing arts, re-education and socialization.
It is our policy to support individuals and organisations whose work embodies the philosophy of the Foundation which is overviewed in Understanding Reality and detailed in Conscious Action Philosophy.
The Foundation operates Gavemer Publishing which produces books that are considered to have truth and worth that usually require low volume production which larger commercial publishers consider unviable.
Garry Richardson died in January 2005 and is succeeded by his colleague, Deborah Whitford who with a Board of Directors continues the aims and directives of the Foundation.
In 2007 we changed our name to The Gavemer Schools Foundation for human-centred education to reflect our internal changes and focus on education. |
